Grand Prize

Halloween Collage Information

• Measuring two feet tall by one foot wide, this colorful Halloween collage contains a diverse collection of Autumn and Halloween images from me, Leo Kowal.
• The Jack-O-Lanterns were hand carved and photographed in the studio using strobe and long exposure photography to capture the natural glow of a lit pumpkin.
• The collage of psychedelic leaves was photographed on a forest bed in Baraboo, Wisconsin during the peak of the 2007 autumn season.
• The group of pumpkins were photographed at Jonamac Orchard in Dekalb, Illinois on a brilliant autumn day during pumpkin fest.
• The headless horseman’s skull on faux leaves was photographed in the studio using HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography to bring out the darkest shadows and the most subtle highlights and mid-tones.
• The Witch is non other then Mary from SVGCuts.com! We spent about 2 hours doing make-up and prosthesis and used the HDR technique for this image!

Contest Rules

• Using any of the free or purchased Halloween related SVG files from our site, submit a picture of your project! It can be a scrapbook page, greeting card or anything else you could dream of. You can use other SVG elements from other sources, but must have at least 1 free or purchased SVG from our site to qualify.
• Your entry must be Halloween related in order to qualify.
• You have until 5:00 PM CST on Halloween day to submit your design. Designs submitted after the deadline will not be included in the judging.
• Submit your entry on the October SVGCuts.com Challenge forum post. (You need to register on the forum, click here to do so!)
• You can submit your entry by creating a reply to the post and then clicking on the “Additional Options” and uploading your image.
• No purchase necessary!
• 1st Place gets Leo Kowal’s Halloween Collage (pictured above) and 1 Free SVG Collection from our store!
• 2nd and 3rd Place receive 1 Free SVG Kit of their choice from our store!
• Limit 3 Submissions per person for this contest!
