Compatibility

Any cutting machine software that allows you to import SVG files, such as Sure Cuts a Lot ("SCAL"), eCAL, Make the Cut, Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and Cricut Design Space. This project contains pieces that are too large for 12x6 and 8.5 x 11 mats.

Paper Collection | Supplies

Solid-color paper shown is all American Crafts (”AC”) card stock paper. The specialty paper that I used for the panels is all by Recollections (Michaels Stores). This includes the stripes, woodgrain, metallic and glitter, etc. I got all of them by-the-sheet (individually) at my local Michaels store.

Making one star as-shown uses five sheets of 12x12 paper for the star itself. The interior panels are cut from four sheets of patterned 12x12 paper (the fourth sheet only has to be four inches wide, so 4x12). The exterior panels are identical, but optional.

I hung each star using various yarn and twine and used a large needle to make it easier to get the string through the holes. I also used a bone folder while assembling the project to make the folded parts extra crisp.
