Compatibility

My SVG files work with all major cutting machine software, including Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio Designer Edition, SCAL, and Canvas Workspace. Each design includes solid score line options. These files are designed for 12x12 cutting mats and are not compatible with 12x6 or letter-size mats.

The finished project is about 4.5" tall and 3.75" wide.

Supplies

For best results, I recommend 80# textured solid-core cardstock for a sturdy, professional finish. The patterned paper shown in this example is from the Material Girl collection by Cosmo Cricket (discontinued).

Scotch Quick-Dry Tacky Glue provides a strong hold, while Color Petal ink pads add depth and dimension to edges and any textures. I used seam binding tape and regular buttons and pins to embellish my spool. I wrapped regular/standard yarn around the spool lid in an even layer. I didn't measure the length of yarn at the time, but I'll add that information here as soon as I can. Contains affiliate links.
